The crew at the Nelson Star pulled on their pink t-shirts in preparation for Pink Shirt Day which takes place next Wednesday.
Black Press and a host of local businesses are sponsors of the special day that takes on bullying.
It was started by two teens in Nova Scotia who staged a “pink protest” at their high school after a younger friend was bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school.
The idea caught on and wearing pink on February 23 is a way to protest bullying across North America.
You can purchase your shirts at Annie’s Boutique on Baker Street to help send a message to bullies. For more information head to maternitycorner.com
