The school board office on Anderson Street in Nelson, long vacant, was demolished Monday morning to make way for a $7 million housing project for people at risk of homelessness.

The school board office on Anderson Street in Nelson, long vacant, was demolished Monday morning to make way for a $7 million housing project for people at risk of homelessness.

Construction on the 33-unit, three storey complex is expected to begin this spring, and likely take a year to complete.
