Nelson RCMP have located a pair of boats on Kootenay Lake.

Pair of empty boats discovered on lake

Nelson RCMP are looking for the owners of a pair of boats discovered on Kootenay Lake on Thursday.

A North Shore resident discovered two boats floating in Kootenay Lake on Thursday.

Both boats were secured and the finder contacted the Nelson RCMP. The boats are described as follows:

1) Blue bottom/ white top and seats paddle boat;

2) Red and yellow Mainstream Riptide six foot kayak with blue and white paddles.

If you have lost a boat matching one of these descriptions, please contact Cst. Colleen Lowing at the Nelson RCMP Detachment to claim your lost property.
