A woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a van at the intersection of Ward and Baker St. this morning.
Nelson police Sgt. Dino Falcone said it happened around 11:30 a.m. as the vehicle, heading north on Ward St., made a left onto Baker.
The victim, who was in the crosswalk between Wait's News and the KWC block, was attended to by paramedics and firefighters and taken to hospital by ambulance.
The driver has been "completely co-operative" with police, Falcone said.
He said it was too early to say if any charges would be laid.
