Canvassers Herb Couch (left) and Bob Hennessy were out on Baker Street last week seeking signatures for the Sensible BC campaign to decriminalize marijuana in BC. They have so far collected over 2,200 of a necessary 2,826 names, representing 10 per cent of the Nelson-Creston electorate.

Province-wide, however, things are going a little slower, with about 65,000 signatures collected as of October 9 — 15,000 less than their aim of 80,000 by the 30-day mark of the 90-day petition drive.
