BC Hydro says electrical system improvements in the Lardeau and Howser area on Wednesday will force a power outage from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“To ensure the safety of our work crews, it will be necessary to interrupt electrical service for approximately five hours,” the company said.
The affected area is from the intersection of 6th Avenue in Lardeau and Highway 31 north to Howser and the Duncan Dam. Cooper Creek, Johnsons Landing, and Argenta will also be affected, along with all side roads.
