Madeleine Guenette is the winner of the Nelson Star’s Reader Photo Contest.
On Monday, the Star asked its readers to submit a photo of the large snowfall. The photo could be of anything, as long as it involved snow. Hundreds of pictures flooded in.
From pets, to kids, buried cars and scenic shots, local photographers snapped away.
Guenette explained how she got her winning photo, “I was at Lakeside Park, walking my dog. It was beautiful after the storm so I decided to take some photos. The truck was on the bridge and was going very fast. I had the time to take three shots.”
Guenette will now receive two lift tickets to Whitewater.
