The Salmo Fire Department was called out to Airport Road on Thursday morning to battle a blaze at Scrap King Auto Wrecking and Towing.
"The office is gone," said Salmo Fire Chief David Hearn.
He described the building as a "one-storey modular" and said it was completely burned to the ground.
Two Salmo engines and a tender, plus one engine and a tender from Ymir we called out to battle the place.
At 4 p.m. the same day, crews were still on scene as the wreckage continued to smoulder.
No injuries have been reported and no word on what caused the fire has been released.
