Salmo Mountie charged with theft

Cst. Dave Dyball has been charged with theft under $5,000 and makes his first court appearance Tuesday.

A police officer from Salmo has been charged in relation to alleged improper handling and disposition of exhibits at the detachment.

Cst. Dave Dyball has been charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 and makes his first court appearance Tuesday in Nelson.

RCMP say they will provide no further comment while the matter is before the courts.

According to online court records, Dyball, 44, is alleged to have committed the offences on April 9.
