Nelson-based sand sculptors Denis Kleine and John McKinnon, and Winlaw's Peter Vogelaar, are creating sand sculptures for Castlegar's Sandsations event this weekend.
The sculptors began working on their creations Thursday in front of Pioneer Arena (925 Columbia Ave.) and will continue until Sunday. The theme for the sculptures is mythical creatures.
