A mountain biker had to be lifted out of Shannon Pass during the Trans BC Enduro by Nelson Search and Rescue.

Nelson Search and Rescue were called Saturday to help an injured mountain biker during the Trans BC Enduro.

One of the athletes, who was also working as media for the event, fell and fractured his lower leg, according to a release.

The incident occurred in a remote part of the Shannon Pass area on Nelson’s North Shore, which meant the injured person was taken out with a long line.
