Hundreds of red paper lanterns are dotting Nelson businesses as part of Chinatown Week, marking the historic contribution of the city’s Chinese community. The lanterns are an ancient symbol of good luck. The celebration runs through Sunday, and includes a reading by poet Fred Wah at the library Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
