Singleton sentencing delayed

The sentencing hearing for disgraced Nelson lawyer Marvin Singleton has been delayed by two months due to unspecified “scheduling issues.”

It was originally supposed to happen Friday, but has been put off to April 18 and 19.

Singleton, 77, was convicted in December of theft and fraud following a 22-year legal saga. He misappropriated nearly half a million dollars from an estate for which he was executor. He faces up to 10 years in prison on each count.
