Suspect gets two years in Slocan Valley drug case

A suspect will spend two years, less a day, in jail for possession and trafficking crystal meth.

A suspect arrested in the Slocan Valley last month has been sentenced to two years in jail on drug charges.

A suspect arrested in February just east of New Denver will spend two years less a day in jail for possession and trafficking crystal meth.

On March 12, Thomas Troy Dill, plead guilty to the charge stemming from a February 27 traffic complaint on Highway 31A. Police found the man in his vehicle parked at a pull out on Sandon Road.

Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer saw drug paraphernalia on the passenger seat. He was found to be in possession of approximately 26 grams of crystal meth and over $3,000 in cash.

Dill was also sentenced to a 10-year firearms prohibition.
