Ten new cases of COVID-19 in Nelson area

The cases were reported for the week of Jan. 3 to 9

The Nelson Health Area had 10 cases of COVID-19 for the week of Jan. 3 to 9.

The latest data released by the BC Centre for Disease Control also shows two cases in the Creston area, one in Trail and one in the Kootenay Lake area, which includes Kaslo.

Nelson’s area, which includes Salmo, had 53 total cases in 2020. That’s the second highest in the Kootenays behind Fernie, which had 59.
