Nelson theatre buffs hoping to catch a flick locally will have to keep waiting.
A facility review of the mothballed Civic Theatre is now expected to be complete by the end of this month, city manager Kevin Cormack says. After that it will be up to council to decide whether to put the building back out for proposals.
The city cancelled its lease this year with a Vancouver consortium called Nelson Cinemax after it failed to come through on promises to upgrade and reopen the facility. The screen has been silent since late last summer.
