RCMP report the couple reported missing has been found safe and sound. They had made a detour from their destination and spent the night in a camp site, with no cell service to update their family.
The Castlegar RCMP had asked the public to keep their eyes open for a couple that has been reported missing. Don Quiring, 69, and Linda Munro, 63, were travelling from Penticton to Nelson to meet family yesterday but they never arrived.
They were last heard from on July 2 just after 3 p.m., when they were several kilometres outside of Castlegar, and were believed to be travelling on Hwy 3.
The couple is travelling in a 2011 Dodge Ram 3/4 tonne pick up, medium blue in colour. It has Saskatchewan licence plates, with DQJQ.
They are towing a white 30 foot fifth-wheel trailer, with "Cougar" written in brown on the sides. Licence plate of the trailer is unknown at this time.
