Three people were taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries on Wednesday after a two-vehicle collision on Highway 6 just north of Salmo.
A passing motorist reported seeing the jaws of life being used on one of the vehicles in the ditch.
Sgt. John Ferguson of the RCMP said the accident is being investigated for possible criminal charges.
