A man who went missing in the area during the holidays has been found.
Nelson police issued a release overnight saying Colin Hansen has been located, although they gave no details.
Hansen was visiting his sister in Nelson for Christmas. He left at about 10 a.m. on Boxing Day to head back to his home in Calgary. He was not heard from again until last night.
He was driving a 2007 blue Ford Ranger pick-up truck with an Alberta license plate.
Police asked RCMP for their help and called out Nelson Search and Rescue.
Sgt. Dino Falcone said Hansen’s normal route home to Calgary was to take the Kootenay Lake ferry then continue through Creston, Cranbrook, Fernie and Crow’s Nest.
