UPDATED: RDCK Area E: Ramona Faust re-elected

Regional District of Central Kootenay: Ramona Faust has been re-elected in Area E over Rick Marken.

Ramona Faust has been re-elected in Area E of the Regional District of Central Kootenay over Rick Marken.

She had 692 votes to Marken’s 440. Turnout was 40 per cent.

“I think people around the region voted for positive messages, social innovation and financial control,” Faust said. “I don’t think people want cuts to services but they don’t want unplanned budget or development growth either. They need us to prioritize our spending on what matters and work with them on decision making.”

Faust was first elected in 2008 and was re-elected in 2011.
