Be advised that, under section 22.2(3) of the Forest and Range Practices Act, the Grohman Creek Forest Service Road 0059.01 (FSR) will be closed to all users on June 27, 2024. This closure is being put in place due to concerns for public safety on the FSR. Specifically, there is a retaining wall at approximately the 7.2km mark that is at risk of failure. The retaining wall must be replaced prior to the road being re-opened to users. Barricades will be installed on June 27, 2024.
There is no planned timeline for the replacement of the retaining wall. The Selkirk District is currently working on options for replacement.
