In Loving Memory ~

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ada De Vuono, our loving mother and nonna. Ada passed away peacefully at Kootenay Lake Hospital on January 22, 2025, at the age of 89.

Ada is survived by her daughter Diana (Frank), daughter-in-law Tera (Rob), and grandchildren Cristina (Cody), Rachel (Clay), Daniel (Ashnika), and Christopher. She is also survived by her sister Maria (Leo), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.

Ada was predeceased by her son Rodi in 2012, and her husband Franco in 2023.

Ada was born to Antonio and Gilda Iachetta on April 16, 1935 in Grimaldi, Italy. In 1954, she immigrated to Canada with her mother and siblings—Luisa, Maria, and Silvano—to join her father and two older brothers, Domenic and Joe, who had already settled in Trail, BC. In 1963, she met and married her husband, Franco, and together they built a beautiful life and family in Nelson.

Family was Ada's greatest joy and purpose. Their home was always abundant with delicious italian food, red wine, music, love, and laughter.
