Agnes Irene DeMott of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the age of 82 years.
Agnes and Gene enjoyed over 20 years of retired life together on Kootenay Lake, where they built their retirement home. Agnes will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt. There are no words that can describe the sorrow and feelings of loss and the love that her passing leaves behind.
Agnes is survived by her daughter Suzette DeMott, her sons Cal, Doug and Scott (Laura) DeMott, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, two brothers Dick (Roberta) Smeal and Ralph (Sherry) Smeal, three sisters Joyce Burnham, Helen McConathy and Lorna (John) Simpson as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Agnes was predeceased by her husband Gene DeMott on March 12, 2016 and her youngest brother Don Smeal.
A private service with family and close friends will be held at a later date. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the caregivers at Evanston Grand Village and Carewest George Boyack Care Centre.
