April 26, 2016

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alice Mae Cutler on April 26, 2016. Alice was born in Edmonton, Alberta on July 16, 1923 to Mary and John Dewar. She is survived by her loving husband, Earle of 72 years, her only daughter Pat Armstrong of Cranbrook and 3 sons, Bud, Ron (Shirley) and Bruce all of Nelson. Alice also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her parents Mary and John Dewar, her brother Jimmy, daughter-in-law Dawn Cutler and son-in-law Ken Armstrong. Alice was blind, deaf, diabetic and most recently diagnosed with dementia. She never lost her zest for life and her sense of humour was with her to her very last day. Alice was always a gracious host in her home and served as an honorary member of the Lions Club for over 70 years, hosting many functions. We would like to offer a special thanks to Donna Ross, Dr. Vance, the nursing staff and all supporting staff at the Kootenay Lake Hospital. There will be no service by request. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Kootenay Lake Hospital Foundation. Online condolences may be expressed at www.thompsonfs.ca. Megan Johnson of Thompson Funeral Service has been
