With immense sadness we announce the passing of our wonderful, extraordinary husband, father and nonno Antonio Gariup. He passed away peacefully on September 1, 2019.
Antonio is survived by his daughters Darlene (Mario) and Giovanna, grandchildren Jessica, Roberto, Olivia, John, Antonia and great grandchild Giovanni. Antonio will be greatly missed by his daughters and grandchildren along with his sister and brother along with his brother-in-laws and sisters-in-laws, and the numerous nieces and nephews who will surely miss their generous caring uncle. "Granddogs" Oakley and Mac will also miss their nonno.
Antonio was an amazing person with a tremendous heart who spent time in the garden, fishing, raising his grandchildren and was a long-time member of the FOE. He also took pride in caring for his late wife Lina of 64 years.

A mass of Christian Burial was held September 7th, 2019. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Antonio's honour may be made to the BC Heart & Stroke Foundation.
On behalf of Antonio, the family wishes to gratefully thank first responders, such as the Nelson Police Department, Paramedics and Dr. Sparrow. A very special thank you also goes out to the community of friends and family that have sent their condolences in many forms; from letters, flowers, and cards to home cooked meals. Antonio will be greatly missed by us all.
