August 6, 1926 - November 18, 2018
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Audrey Frances Jean Stevenson (nee Nelson). She passed away peacefully on November 18th, 2018 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by her husband Henry Stevenson, son Ken Stevenson, grandson Rodney Park, brother Clyde Nelson and sisters Myra Grant, Helen Huck, and Margaret Fraser.
Audrey was born August 6th, 1926 in Fernie, BC and moved to Nelson at the age of 2 to live with her aunt and uncle Eva and James Armstrong and their son Hugh. She was the mother of Monty (Debie) Stevenson of Cochrane, AB, Gerry Stevenson of Nelson and Ron Stevenson of Vancouver, BC. She will be missed by her loving grandchildren; Sarah (Stevenson) Tweddle, Cynthia (Stevenson) St. Thomas, Amanda Stevenson (Chirico), Robyn Stevenson, Natasha Stevenson, Selina (Stevenson) Birk, Jason Park, the 18 great grandchildren and the many nieces and nephews.
Audrey was involved for many years with Camp Koolaree Society, the United Church, CGIT, Kootenay Quilters Guild, Soroptimists Club and the Daughters of the Nile.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kootenay Lake Hospital or Camp Koolaree Society.
