Barry was predeceased by his first wife, who also bravely battled cancer. He is survived by his devoted wife, Dalvanir, who stood by his side. Barry leaves behind his two loving sisters, Betty Johannessen and Shirley Perrilat, who cherished their bond with him.
A proud father, Barry is survived by his son Cameron, married to Breanne, and their two children, Jacob and Peyton. He also leaves behind his daughter Jennifer and her two sons, Jamie and Casey. Barry's family was his pride and joy, and he took immense pleasure in spending time with his grandchildren.
Barry had a passion for cycling and was one of the founding members of the local Bald Eagles Cycling Club, where he shared his love for biking with many and encouraged people he met to ride with him. His enthusiasm for the sport and his dedication to the club will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
In addition to his love for cycling, Barry was an avid volunteer and a very generous man. He dedicated much of his time to helping others and making a positive impact in his community.
Barry's legacy of love, strength, and generosity will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
A celebration of Barry's life will be held in March with details to come. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or an organization of your choice in honor of Barry.
