It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Bernice Rymal (Wiens) on March 2, 2017. Bernice was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Bernice will be remembered most for her sincerity; her gracious spirit and ready smile.

Bernice was born to Peter and Anna Wiens on May 31, 1932 in Meadow Lakes, Saskatchewan. She is predeceased by her parents Peter and Anna Wiens, sisters Rosaline Brown and Louella Phillipson, son Edward and daughter-in-law Carolyn (Rob).

Bernice leaves behind her husband Lloyd, daughter Claire (Vic) Goffic, Quesnel BC; Son Jim (Kris) Donneley, Grand Prairie AB: Sons Paul and Rob Donneley, Kelowna BC; Son Charlie (Catherine) Donneley, Nelson BC; step-daughters Karen Rymal and Lisa Jay, Nelson BC; Brother Larry (Anne) Mission BC (Dale, Rick, Brent): 10 grandchildren Jennifer, Crystal, Patricia, Eddy, Tahirah, Karie, Charles, Max, Cailin Liam, & Ruby; 14 great grandchildren, and too numerous to name, nieces, nephews and dear friends (Candace).

Raised in Saskatchewan Bernice moved to Kelowna as a teenager, later marrying Mark Donneley, keeping busy raising their six children. Bernice moved to Nelson BC in 1996 where she met and married Lloyd Rymal on April 15, 2000.

Family was everything to Bernice. Next to spending time with family and friends she could be found within the local church community or socializing at the Seniors Branch #51 (past president of), or sitting out in her flower garden, reading in a sunny patch surrounded by sparrows who loved her garden as much as she did.

Our heartfelt thank you for the caring support received with home care (namely Eliza, Lona, Suzelle, Brenda) and the loving staff at Talarico Place, Castlegar. You were a blessing to Bernice and her family.

A celebration of life will be held in the summer, amongst her blooms and swallows.
