It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Carol left us far too soon and will be sorely missed.
Carol was born in Vancouver to Leslie and Joyce Carpenter. She attended school in Vancouver and later married Phil Konken and had one child. She worked as a hospital lab technician, real estate agent, seamstress, and finally office manager at Morrow Environmental (SNC-Lavalin), where she spent the better part of her working life.
Carol lived in Vancouver, Campbell River, Alert Bay, Sointula, Quadra Island, and Burnaby. In 2013, after spending most of her life on the coast, Carol semi-retired to Nelson to be close to her family. Her years in Nelson, working in her garden and spending time with her grandchildren, were some of the happiest of her life. Carol's sudden passing has left a deep
hole in our family and our community. She will be forever in our memories and in our hearts.
