Cindy Lee Theresa Moser

December 14, 1964 - October 3, 2017

Cindy Lee Theresa Moser was born in Quesnel, B.C., December 14, 1964. She passed away comfortably in her home with family by her side on October 3, 2017.

She was raised in Indian Head, Saskatchewan where she attended school from kindergarten to grade 12. Cindy completed a year of University in Regina studying arts and science. She then decided to join the Katimavik program in 1984 to experience different parts of Canada. This was an exciting time in Cindy's life.

Cindy was a caregiver for more than 25 years. Her career spanned from The Golden Prairie Home in Indian Head, Saskatchewan, Telarico Place in Castlegar, British Columbia, to Mount St. Francis and Nelson Jubilee Manor in Nelson, British Columbia.

She loved her career and all those who's lives she touched, co-workers and residents alike. Cindy's true passion was art and she often joked that she was an artist who supplemented her income with caregiving.

Cindy was an avid gardener and during the growing season could always be found puttering in the garden. It was one of her favourite activities. She won many ribbons for her vegetables, canning, craftwork, flowers, and art. Cindy and her late partner Richard shared this passion for gardening along with music, animals and nature.

Cindy and Richard came to Castlegar, British Columbia in 1988. They lived in Ootischenia for 5 years before buying their dream home in Slocan Park, British Columbia. In 1996 their home was destroyed by a landslide.

During the rebuilding process they developed a strong bond with their community which supported their endeavour to build a new dream home. They did build a new home which brought them joy, peace and happiness.

Cindy absolutely loved spending time at the beach across the road from her home. It was where she was happy and at peace.

Cindy is predeceased by her partner Richard Kosior (2016), she is survived by her Mother, Donna Stephenson and sister Dara (Dan) Huys of Hythe, Alberta.

She is also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Kootenay Animal Assistance Program (K.A.A.P.) in Nelson, British Columbia, The Kootenay Gallery of Art in Castlegar, British Columbia, or a charity of your choice.

A special note of gratitude to all of Cindy's friends and neighbours who were a huge support to her family throughout Cindy's journey.
