It is with profound regret and incomprehensible sorrow that we share the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather Clarence Knippel, who left us peacefully in his 83rd year. He is survived by all his ”girls”, treasured wife of 60 years, Lydia, and the three daughters of whom he was endlessly proud, Shauna MacDonald (Burns) of Ottawa Ontario, Melaine Knippel(Joey) of Uxbridge Ontario, and Richelle Maeers(Gary) of Kelowna BC. Also, three grandchildren, Heather ( Brendan ), Kyle(Sara) and Taryn (Derek) three(soon to be four) great grandchildren all of whom gave him great delight and his sister Luella (Ted) of Langley BC. He was predeceased by his brother Harold. Clarence and Lydia both coming from humble beginnings but having a strong work ethic and an adventurous spirit, spent many happy years raising their young family in the beautiful city of Nelson BC. Together they founded and built up the still thriving business of SK Electronics, which provided well for their family and allowed Clarence to ” live” his endless fascination with the workings of just about anything remotely resembling an electronic communication device. Retirement in Kelowna brought him the joys of extended family, the (for him) unique experience of some male family companionship ,the pleasures of his restored MGB to get him to and from the golf course, and still in possession of that adventurous spirit, with Lydia and close friends, to visit and tour some 70 countries around the world.
