In Loving Memory ~
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Craig Soukeroff. Craig grew up in Winlaw raised on a farm along with 5 siblings, spending his childhood years swimming and fishing the Slocan River.
On April 18, 1981, he married his wife, Sandra, and raised two girls Alyse and Andrea.
At the young age of 16 Craig began his career in forestry, later at 25 started his own Logging Contractor business which spanned 40 years working for Slocan Forest Products, Darkwoods Forestry and Monticola Forestry. He was a self-taught mechanic and learned to operate all timber harvesting equipment.
Craig's hobbies included sawmilling, carpentry, fishing, and foraging for mushrooms and huckleberries. He also obtained his Private Pilots license and loved to fly, saying he felt so Free in the sky. Craig also liked to travel experiencing different cultures visiting North America and Europe.
On Oct 4, 2023, Craig's valiant battle with Prostate Cancer ended.
He is survived by his wife Sandra (42 years), daughters Alyse (Adam) Bruno, and Andrea (Connor Brocklesby), 2 beautiful grandsons Lucas and Travis, mother-in-law Susie Voykin, sister Nadine (Andy) Evin, brother Dale (Tracey) Soukeroff, sister in law Gail Soukeroff, sister in law Marcie Voykin, numerous nieces and nephews.
