DARLENE "DEE" DOLORES WILSON November 10, 1950 ~ February 4, 2010 In the early morning of February 4, 2010 our Heavenly Father called Dee Home. Dee was born in Toronto, Ontario to Emily and John Weed, both of whom predeceased their daughter. Dee grew up in New Westminster and moved to Kamloops in her young adult years, where she lived for many years. The final fifteen years she lived in Castlegar, British Columbia, with her husband Howard Wilson. Up until her struggle with cancer began, she lead a very active life. Caring for her family, playing the organ and leading the choir and making sure Howard's tie was straight, etc, as she supported him as the Rector and Priest for the Castlegar congregation of the New Apostolic Church. Aside from Dee's love of her family and Church, she had a deep and abiding love for her job with Interior Health as the co-ordinator for the meals on wheels program, and most of all organizing and preparing outings for her "Happy Wanderers" seniors group. The love she gave and showed to her senior "children" was returned many times in the love they had for her. Dee will always be remembered by many friends and her family, five daughters that she is and was very proud of. Michelle (Pearce) Owen of Whiterock BC, Rachel (Jean Pierre) Champange of Kamloops, Jennifer (Andy) Jones of Burnaby, Amie (Adam) Marsel of Nelson, and Melissa Wilson of Castlegar. Dee also leaves her handsome grandsons to mourn her lose, Andrew, Marcell and Justice Champagne of Kamloops, BC and Daniel and Nathan Owen of Whiterock, BC. Her prayers cover Amie and Adam's child that will arrive in July 2010. All funeral arrangements are in the care of Bill Clark of Personal Alternative Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the New Apostolic Church 2528 Columbia Avenue, Castlegar, BC. Officiant Dist Ev Edgur Damonze. Reception to follow. We would like to thank all staff at Talarico Place and Dr. Ankenbauer for the wonderful care you provided for Dee.
