She worked many jobs in her lifetime, from tree planting to bartending, from hospitality person to line worker at Insight. Wherever she was she formed friendships that were deep and lasting.
Debora seriously enjoyed her flower garden and was often asked to identify new or unusual blooms. On a trip to England she became the de facto tour expert where even the tour guide relied on her expertise.
Debora also seriously enjoyed traveling, most especially to warmer places in the wintertime. Playa del Carmen and Mazatlan become frequent vacation spots.
Debora lived life on her own terms; always speaking her mind. She insisted that our own lives are to be enjoyed and that every moment should be cherished. She developed an early love of animals and was never long without a furry companion. Her most recent adoption was a rescue from the SPCA, Buffy.
A family C of L will be held when her flowers bloom again in the spring/summer.
If any feel the need to honour her memory you have several options - first, heed her advice to live every day on your own terms
Second you could donate to BCCancer and third, you could donate to SPCA
Her family sends sincere thanks to the staff at BCCancer in Vancouver, Dr. Khoo in Kelowna and those wonderful people at KLH who took care of her with much compassion in her final weeks.
She will be desperately missed by all that loved her.
