It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of our dear beloved father, husband, grandfather, uncle and friend on Christmas Day at Kootenay Lake Hospital. For a brief time his family was able to see the funny, charming and gracious man that we love so dearly.
He leaves behind his wife Colleen of 62 years, his daughter Maureen (Gordon-children Jason, Jena, Kayla and Coleman), son Terry (Denise-daughters Jalessa, Mariah and Carlie), brother-in-law Norm Hyssop from Penticton, cousins, many nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Mickey’s life will be in the Spring time with a specific date to be announced.
We would like to express a sincere thank you and gratitude to the nurses and doctors both in the ER and on the third floor. A special thank you to Dr. Kevin McKechnie for gentle care with dad in his final years.
As an expression of sympathy donations in Mickey’s name are greatly appreciated to the British Columbia Alzheimer Society www.alzheimer.ca or Ph 1-800-667-3742.
