It is with great sadness to announce the passing Donna Eveline Jensen on Saturday April 29, 2017 after a hard fought battle with cancer. Donna was born April 24th, 1949 in Saskatoon, SK to the late Howard and Eveline Shillington. The family moved to Islington, ON when Donna was 4 years old. She met the love of her life Carl, and they were married in Islington June 26th, 1971. After working for many years in Calgary, Donna and Carl retired to Balfour, BC.

Donna was a bubbly free spirit who enjoyed a passion for cooking, sewing and crafts. She so enjoyed teaching these interests especially to seniors and children. Her recent move to Balfour on the shores of Kootenay Lake brought her tremendous joy in retirement and a new direction in the Second Winds Music Group which she thoroughly enjoyed. She will be sorely missed.

Donna is survived by her sister Shirley (Roger) Vick, Edmonton, AB, brothers Bill Shillington, West Vancouver and Alan (Carole) Shillington, Cambridge, ON, brothers-in-laws Alyn (Colleen) Jensen, Chipman, NB, and Eric Jensen, Cranbrook, BC, sister-in-law Myrna Jensen, Kimberley, BC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, her best friend from high school -Marlene Davison of Cobourg, ON and many other special friends.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the Doctors, Nurses and staff at Kootenay Lake Hospital for the care and comfort provided to Donna.

For those wishing to remember Donna, a donation to the Kootenay Lake Hospital foundation would be appreciated.
