Our beloved Nana, Dorothy Mabel Mackie (Bryant), passed away on Thursday July 23rd while taking one of her daily walks down her family beach. She was an incredible woman who lived generously, worked hard to establish change in the world, loved music, dance and company and offered genuine hospitality to everyone who crossed her path. She will be greatly missed. Our hope is that her legacy of love will continue to live on through her loving husband Doug, five children, eleven grandchildren, four great-grandbabies as well as countless others whose lives she touched. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 3rd at 1:00 pm on her beach (4206 Hwy 3A, Nelson), and all are welcome to attend. At Nana’s request, in lieu of flowers, donations to the local food bank would be appreciated.
