1940-2021 ~ Elisabeth passed away peacefully at home in Nelson BC on March 3 surrounded by her loving friends and family.
Elisabeth was born in 1940 in Germany. At seven years old, her family moved to California. As the eldest daughter, she took on a lot of the child rearing responsibilities for her younger sisters Maxine and Alice.
After she completed school, she entered the work force and worked as a secretary. Elisabeth raised her children in California and eventually met Roy through the course of her work in 1977. They have been together ever since.
Singing was a passion of Elisabeth's throughout her life, starting out in the choir of her school in Germany. Gardening was another passion of hers. Her gardens will be enjoyed into the future. As she got older, she loved to watch old movies on the Turner Classic Movies channel and her and Roy were 'owned' by their cat Sammy.
She is survived by her husband Roy, her three sons John (Deborah), Christopher (Sylvia) and Andrew, grandchildren Amanda, Meagan, Timmy and great grandchild Jaxon. Elisabeth was predeceased by her first husband Hans Mehl in 2012.
