It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Belding in Cranbrook on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 79 years of age.

Betty was born on July 17, 1939 in Trail, BC. Family meant the world to Betty. Her first love were her daughters, their families and her grandchildren. Betty will be remembered

for her feisty spirit, her sense of humour and her caring heart. She had many passions which included gardening, quilting, knitting, baking and travelling. Mom volunteered with many organizations in both Creston and Cranbrook. She truly gave back to every community she lived in. Mom will be truly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Betty is survived by her husband Bill Belding and family, her sister Joan Batley, her daughters Bev (Blair) Pommier, Pam Duperron and Joanne (Kevin) Ostendorf, her granddaughters Brandy, Nicole, Kerri, Jaime, Maddison, Brett, Cammi, Rochelle and Nicole and her great grandchildren.

Betty was predeceased by her first husband Walter Avis, her parents Andrew and Helen Sinclair, her brothers Don Sinclair and Andy Sinclair Jr., her sister Grace Folk and her son-in-law Roy Duperron.

A gathering to celebrate Betty's life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial donation in her honour may do so to the BC Children's Hospital.
