Stan Williams of Nelson, BC, born on March 4, 1930, in Noranda, Quebec, passed away peacefully at Jubilee Manor on January 6, 2019. He made Nelson his home for 80+ years.
Stan is survived by his stepdaughters Lorraine Leschied (Kienholz) and husband Bob, Beverley Russell (Kienholz) and husband Don as well as his sister Barb Benedetti; his five grandchildren, David (Aimee), Heather (Calvin), Tim (Liane), Hugh, and Kevin. Great grandchildren Amelia, Oscar, Logan and Quin.
There will be no funeral service at Stan's request. Interment of his ashes will take place at Nelson Memorial Park next to his wife of 51 years, Malender Williams, mother of Lorraine and Beverley.
Many thanks to the nurses and staff of Jubilee Manor and Nelson Home Care and for the many other friends and family members who visited regularly and who were so supportive to him.
