In loving memory ~

Gloria Elizabeth Ligget, born July 31, 1944, in Knowlton, Quebec passed away peacefully at Kootenay Lake Hospital on January 29, 2024.

Gloria's journey, marked by a vibrant engagement with life, was a testament to her spirit and generous heart. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Reverend Thomas John Whiteford Ligget and Hazel Irene Bell Liqqet, as well as her partner, Al Gerun. She will forever be held in loving memory by Michael and Lua Gerun and family, friends Duncan and Judy Dodds and family, John and Ellie Brand and family, and Tim and Deb Rutherglen and family.

Gloria devoted four decades of her life in service to her community at the Nelson Bank of Montreal (BMO), where her sense of humour and energy touched countless lives. Her innate ability to forge connections meant that she never encountered a stranger she didn't befriend, leaving an enduring impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

After retirement, Gloria and her partner Al escaped the Kootenay winters to enjoy the vibrant sun and lively social life in their home away from home, Mesa, Arizona. She held a passion for outdoor activities, finding joy in curling, skiing, golfing, baseball and nurturing her garden.

In her final moments, Gloria found solace in the exceptional care provided by her Oncologist, Dr. Brandon Tuvel, whose compassion and expertise eased her journey.

Arrangements for Gloria's farewell will be entrusted to Thompson Funeral Service. While a formal funeral service will not be held, a private celebration of life will be announced at a later date, providing an opportunity for all who loved her to come together in tribute and remembrance.

Gloria's legacy of kindness, resilience, and friendship will continue to resonate, inspiring all who carry her memory in their hearts.
