May 5, 2022
With great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved brother Harry on May 5th, 2022 at the age of 98.
At age 18 he got a job with the Great Northern Railway which then merged in 1970 into Burlington Northern and worked until his retirement.
Our brother had a passion for Studebakers and in his lifetime owned 67 of them with his most prized one being his 1957 Golden Hawk.
He lived in Newport, Washington and then a few years ago moved into a senior's facility in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and on his passing was in hospice care.
Harry is survived by his brother Alex in Nelson, sisters Pauline in Vancouver; Rose Main and Margaret Lamb (Harvey) of Calgary; a niece in Calgary; nieces and nephews in B.C. and cousins and their families in Alberta.
He was predeceased by his parents Mike and Pearl Schesnuk; sisters Mary, Kathleen and Fran Eagle; twins Anne and Michael; brothers John, Steve and Jim and brothers-in-law Bob Main, George Fecyk, Claude Vanier and Don Eagle.
A heartfelt thanks to the care given to him at the Renaissance at Coeur d'Alene and the Hospice of North Idaho. Also a very special thanks to Valene and Les Zimmerman for always being there for him.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
