Heather is survived by husband John, sons Brian and Brad as well as brothers and sisters in Ontario.
She worked at Mount Francis as an LPN then Kootenay Lake Hospital as a Registered Nurse before moving to Campbell River in 1995. You may also remember her as a local Beaver leader (1980-1981).
While in Campbell River, she attended UBC, graduated with a BSc in Nursing, and joined the Home Care nursing team where she worked until retirement in 2013.
In 2019 Heather and John enjoyed what would turn out to be their last holiday together, in Portugal along with some of Heather's childhood friends.
Heather lived with cancer for two years before entering hospital for the final time where she passed away in her sleep.
