January 21, 2019
With great sadness, the Ireland family would like friends and neighbours to know of Hilda's passing the afternoon of Monday, January 21st, 2019.

Hilda was born in Grossdorf by Braunau, Czechoslovakia on March 31st, 1921 and immigrated with her family to the Tomslake, BC area in 1936. Later as a young woman, she worked at the Grande Prairie Photo Studio where she met her lifetime love, Rodger. They were wed August 27th, 1941 in Grande Prairie, AB and together they created a close and loving family of four children, Erna (Brian), Bob (Dorothy), Ross (Stella) and Erin (Rick). Hilda and Rodger retired and moved to Balfour, BC in 1982 and were active members of that community until moving to Nelson in 2012.

Hilda was the last surviving child of Emilie and Josef Netek. She was sadly predeceased by Rodger March 2015, and the passing of grand daughter Kim Maskell November 2018. Hilda will be forever remembered and missed by her surviving four children, five grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

Hilda and Rodger's ashes rest together in the family plot at the Balfour Cemetery.
