In Loving Memory ~
On August 26, 2022, Hollie passed with MAID at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Hollie was born 1953 in Toronto and grew up in Calgary where she learned to ski and spent many hours at the family cabin on Lake Lilian outside of Invermere. She moved to Nelson in the early 90's where she continued a career in Social Work with persons with disabilities where she was a strong advocate.
A career change in 2001 put Hollie into the world of real estate. She loved finding the perfect home for people and built a reputation of trust with clients and other realtors. An avid walker, boater and an elegant skier, she also held the title of 'Barbeque Queen'.
Hollie was a committed dog lover and often went out of her way to reunite lost pups with their owners. She was honest, gracious, a great communicator and a loyal friend
Hollie was predeceased by her parents Norman and Helen and leaves behind her loving partner Kim; her dear brothers Ted (Janet) and Scott (Elaine); several nieces, nephews and two step daughters.
She was so appreciative of the great care she received on her cancer journey and felt very close to the team at Kootenay Lake Hospital.
Donations can be made in her name to the Nelson SPCA or the KLH Foundation.
A Celebration of Hollie's Life will be held at the home of Carol Ryan at 1106 Beatty Avenue, Nelson on Sunday Oct 2 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
