Ines Fabbro was born in Italy to parents Giacomo and Celesta Fabbro and immigrated to Canada when she was sixteen years old. She was the youngest of five siblings, two brothers, Tony and Fred, and two sisters Leonora and Gina. The family lived in Genelle, and Ines spoke fondly about that period of her life. Ines lived in Grand Forks and then moved to Nelson in 2009. During that short time in Nelson, Ines touched many lives and will be missed, and fondly remembered by many people.
Ines passed away peacefully in her home.
Ines was predeceased by her parents and all her brothers and sisters. She is survived by one nephew, and seven nieces. One niece, Rosanna Fabbro predeceased her.
A celebration of Ines’s life was held in her home on May 8, 2013.
