IRENE MARGARET RUTHERGLEN April 24, 1922 - May 5, 2010 Passed away peacefully on May 5th in KLGH after a brief illness. Born in London England, Rene was a transport driver in the RAF where she met and married husband Ted in 1944. After moving to Canada Rene quickly adapted to her role as mom of four and surrogate mom of many wildlife babies. Rene is predeceased by husband Ted, mother "Nanny" Cox, brothers Ron and Ted. She leaves children Chris, Peni (Wayne), Ted (Annette), Tim (Deb), grandchildren Tara, Darcy, Jodi, Kari, Scott, Shannon, Courtney, Jamie and Travis, and 18 great grandchildren. Special thanks to the Nelson Hospital staff for their kindness. Celebration of life to be held at Nelson Rod & Gun Club, Wednesday May 12, 2010 at 1:00pm.
