Irma was born on Aug 2, 1934 in Wilkie Saskatchewan and passed away quietly at Mountain Lakes Seniors Home on Aug 18, 2020 in Nelson, BC.
Irma was predeceased by Marven who passed away in June this year.
Irma is survived by her daughter Sari Dettling (Carl) and sons Brett Pedersen and Jeff Pedersen (Jennifer) plus 6 grandchildren Evan (Christine), Noah, David, Shane, Colleen (Rylie) and Lauren.
Irma was married 67 years to Marven and loved all her family deeply. She worked at the Red Cross out of school and in retail for many years but was able to spend a lot of years raising her family.
Throughout her life she was a volunteer in organizations such as Cub Scouts and Brownies, Air Cadets, the Anglican Church and all of her children's sporting associations. While they were growing up she was always there to be team contact or drive to games or to fundraise as needed. Irma was always on the side line watching every match.
She always showed her family how much she loved them. Her hugs are legendary and all her children will miss them.
At this time there will not be a service but we hope to have a celebration of life in the near future when able to do so.
