In loving memory ~

Janice Peloso (nee Black) was born in New Denver BC to James & Edith Black.

Janice's school years were spent in Salmo. As a teen, she moved to Nelson where she met Roy Peloso. They married in 1957 and moved to Trail where they started their family.

Jan loved being involved in Brownies & Guides as a leader in Sunningdale. A highlight for her was the annual trip to Camp Rory. She loved the outdoors, camping, hiking, downhill and cross-country skiing. She also enjoyed gardening, crafting, sewing, and crocheting.

There wasn't a Siamese cat she didn't love and many found their way into the Peloso household.

In 1978 Jan & Roy moved to Kamloops. She loved "big city living".

Upon retirement in 2000 they returned to Nelson to be closer to family. Jan was very involved with the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary where she served on the executive for many years. She also enjoyed many friendships through recreational programs and a hiking group. Jan enjoyed traveling and looked forward to family reunions in Saskatchewan with her siblings.

Predeceased by her parents, her husband Roy, in-laws Mario & Tranquilla Peloso, brother Gerald Black, brother & sister-in-law Andy and Ivy Peloso, and brother-in-law Reo Peloso.

Left to mourn are her daughters Michelle (Rick) Pasqualotto, Brandon, Kaitlin (Giovanni); & Lorri-Ann (Barry) Mawhinney, Matheson (Rebecca), Rylie, Jaidyn, Camryn; sisters Jean Peloso and Arlene (Richard) Cristofoli, sister-in-law Debbie Black, many nieces, and a nephew.

A memorial to be held at a later date.
