Jeffrey David Cairns
March 23, 1952 to April 27, 2013
Jeff passed away at Burnaby Hospital after a battle with cancer. He is pre-deceased by his father, Dave and survived by his mother, Louise, brother Dick, sister-in-law Elaine, niece Liz and nephew Dave, also by his former wife Dorthy and her children. Jeff was born and raised in Manitoba until he left for Los Angeles where he trained to be a court reporter which was his profession throughout his adult life. He worked in Vancouver, Nelson, Victoria and New Westminster with many trips to outlying court rooms throughout BC. He has left many friends and relatives across the province and the prairies all of whom he cared for. Jeff loved motorcycles his whole life and was happiest when riding his Harley with his ?ugly? friends followed closely by sharing a joke with anyone who would listen. Many thanks to his medical care givers particularly the staff at the Burnaby Hospital Palliative Care Unit. At Jeff?s request he is to be cremated with no services to be held. Those who wish may make a donation to a food bank of their choice in his memory.
